Puttin’ on the Ritz is another revival by Kenyo originally composed by Irving Berlin. The song is too “old” in today’s music genre. I don’t think the public will like this song. I didn’t like the song as well as Kenyo’s rendition. Sorry, just average melody and lyrics.

This is the first song from Yeng Constantino’s latest album “Journey”. Everything about falling out of love is the song’s main theme. Its about wanting to let go of someone because ‘the feeling is already gone’ (’yung tipong pag gising mo isang araw… parang iba na… hindi mo man aminin.. pero sadyang iba na… hindi na kagaya ng dati.. ) ‘Di na Ganun’ is a typical slow-paced music from Yeng. Very much appreciate the melody and lyrics of this song.

Radio is the only original song in Kenyo’s new album: Radiosurfing. Radio is composed by Mcoy Fundales. It has a nice upbeat pop-rock song, but the lyrics and melody are not that good enough. Fortunately, the vocals of Mcoy brought life to the music. At the end of the song, Kenyo inserted some “radio-tuned” lyrics from various old songs. These are “radio killed the video star”, “radio gaga” and “russian radio”.

Selos is a hard rock music composed by Mong Alcaraz. All walks of life could definitely relate to this song Selos (Jealousy in English). Who haven’t experienced to be jealous? But I don’t think jealousy will bring something good for someone, sometimes it breaks trust and friendship. If in case you meet “jealousy” along your path, better change the roads you’re taking. It will make your life better! Ang sabi nga ni Mong, walang gamot sa ganyang sakit. Another nice job Mong!

This song is Yeng’s first single from her much awaited second album Journey. Ikaw Lang Talaga was performed with Morning Glory, her band from way back. Lyrics and Music of this single are also c/o Yeng. I was able to listen to this song, and what can I say? It’s good! Good choice as the first single for her album. I’ve always known Yeng Constantino as a good composer and a good singer. She’s always been an inspiration to many from the time she first composed her song in Pinoy Dream Academy (D show that brought her to be a star!) to the time when she performed and crowned as the big winner of the reality show.
